| t0mmy9 Offline Forum Rank: 1337 ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Posts: 395 Thanks: 75 Administrator | can you name the port numbers as this will help?, but basically telnet is a free program that comes with windows that lets you telnet into ports. e.g say google had port 25 open (which is the smtp protocol for sending mail) you would click start -- run -- and type cmd
then in cmd type 'telnet' and then in telnet type: o www.google.com 25 o meaning open and 25 being the port number. if this was real you would be greeted in some way. Hope that helps. Signatures added! go to my account to add your own ![]() |
